POSITION PAPER

The Philippine Federation of the Deaf (PFD) shares an important message from the World Federation of the Deaf (WFD) on a pressing issue in the global Deaf community.

The WFD has released a Position Paper emphasizing the importance of Deaf-led teaching and research in national sign languages. It raises concerns about hearing individuals taking over roles that should be led by the Deaf community.

The paper promotes awareness, inclusion, and respect for Deaf leadership.
